At least 4 phases of construction can be identified. The original cottage in the centre has been extended to the left (as evidenced by joins in the stonework, closed up window, opened up doorway through gable), and also extended to the right to provide an external (animal?) store. The final phase (which appears to date from the mid 20th Century) is the addition of an entrance porch to the front. There is also a brick outhouse to the rear which is presumably later than the main construction, but predates the front entrance (since the front entrance provides an internal toilet, and there is a “cloakroom” created at the same time)
